At the end of world war ii, in order to turn the situation around, the defeated German army even found an evil wizard, trying to use him to summon hellboy, defeat the allied forces. Fortunately, allied commandos arrived in time for the ceremony, successfully foiling their plot, but by this time hellboy - a baby has been summoned, the Allies had to adopt him.
