In 1914, in a small town in Devon, the boy Albert (Jeremy Irvine) witnessed the birth of joey the colt. In bazaar, it is bid frequently, by the father ted of Albert eventually (Peter Mullan) the sky-high price that USES 30 jaini is bagged, lame he also offended landlord accordingly. Albert, though unable to give up, can only see joey off in tears and set foot on the uncertain future of the battlefield. During the war, joey's master keeps changing, from an English captain, an old French farmer and granddaughter, to a German cavalry, but what he really waits for is Albert, can they meet again...
