In 1975, in Warsaw, Kapuscinsk, 43 years old, is an accomplished journalist, experienced and full of ideals, a champion of the revolution and the interests of the people. At the Polish press agency, he asks his superiors to send him to Angola, Africa, a country embroiled in a bloody civil war on the eve of independence.
