Erin (played by Drew Barrymore) and Garrett (played by Justin Long) meet at a lively nightclub, where the two young people open up to each other, sharing drinks and conversation through an incredibly romantic and memorable night. The next day, they even had breakfast together, and sparks began to fly between them. After a brief yet sweet period, they had to face a serious reality—Erin's home was in San Francisco, while Garrett's career was in New York. However, neither of them was willing to give up their current lives, nor did they want to end their relationship.
