The Bellas are back on the big stage after graduation. However, the once-lucrative group is not doing so well, and the downtrodden chorus sisters have nothing to show for their lives and jobs, making them all the more eager to show off and regain their glory. When the American Legion is organizing a show in Europe, they decide to band together and try to get an invitation to perform, but they are no longer popular, so in order to get back into the limelight and prove themselves, the sisters have to give it a shot.
