Travis (Adrien Brody), who has recently lost his job, sees a job posting in the newspaper that pays him $14,000 for a fortnight. Intrigued, Travis goes for it. It turns out to be an experiment sponsored by an organisation, with the researchers claiming that the experiment will take place in a state prison and that 26 participants, including Travis, will be divided into guards and inmates, with the guards having to follow strict rules and those who don't follow orders will be punished. Originally thought to be a role-playing game with money on the line, as the experiment progressed, the will to power was gradually realised and all seemed to be lost in their roles ......
