Jack (Henry Thomas) is driving drunk at night and talking on his cell phone, but he doesn't expect a body to fall from the sky while crossing an overpass. Duffy (Shawn Hatosy), a convenience store clerk, is robbed by a colleague named Step (Hillary Swank) after borrowing money from his girlfriend Shirley (Rachel Leigh Cook) for an abortion. It comes after a group of teenagers bought expired doughnuts from a convenience store, drove fast cars at night and threw them at others for fun. Despite her father Frank (Patrick Swayze) 's attempts to dissuade her from breaking up with Duffy, Shirley goes out with her new boyfriend Alan (Blake Heron). All the loose events, at 11:14, are intertwined and cause and effect, making the ending unexpected and incredible.
