The film tells the story of three intersecting stories that take place in winter in New York City. They all have to do with vision. The first is about an ophthalmologist who, overwhelmed by grief over the death of his child, erects an inner barrier that alienates his family and friends. The second story is about an artist who is going blind because of an eye disease. He comes to an eye doctor's office and asks for help. The third is about a teenager who can't get along with his overbearing mother, so he uses a borrowed long lens to quietly shoot strangers as a diversion. One day, the eye doctor accidentally walked into his lens...
