This documentary series with some drama depicts the story of the rise and fall of ancient Rome through six key turning points in the Roman period, but it is grounded in accurate and extensive historical research, showing us the greedy, lustful and ambitious men such as Caesar, Nero and Constantine who, of course, led to the formation of the Roman Empire. It also describes how Rome destroyed Carthage, was conquered by Caesar, and suppressed the Jewish rebellion and turned to Christianity.
