Dr. Charlie (David Schwimmer) has recently run into trouble. Not only has he lost his job at the university, but the book he wrote has no hope of being published. In order not to be a burden to his family, Charlie finds a job in telemarketing, where he meets his self-involved colleague Garth (Simon Pegg). Garth tells Charlie about his plan to blackmail a priest who frequents pornographic websites. In order to make a rich life for his family, Charlie agrees to join, and together with Gus's one-night stand girlfriend, Jussie (Alice Eve), the three begin the plan.The seemingly simple plan is botched as it drifts further and further from its original purpose.
