Pilot Dix (John Travolta) has been partnered with Upper Catechism Hill (Christian Slater) for many years, and despite his outstanding performance, he has not been promoted. A disgruntled Dix decides to use his own means to get back what he deserves from the government. So, during a flight mission, Dix knocks Hill out of the cabin in order to hijack two nuclear bombs from a stealth airplane; luckily, Hill was carrying a parachute and survived. After obtaining the nuclear bombs, Dix demanded a huge ransom from the government or he would detonate the bombs in the city. On the other hand, Hill and the beautiful policewoman Terri (Samantha Mathis) are desperately trying to track down Dix and retrieve the nuclear bomb!
