Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), a police officer with the Portland Police Bureau, has just been promoted to homicide detective and is ready to make his mark in his new job, but he begins to see some horrific sights that cannot be explained in words. Marie claims that the Burkhardt family's ancestors once belonged to a group of hunters who were united by the code name "Grimm". The world is full of supernatural creatures that are trying to take over the world and destroy the human race, and it is the Burkhardt family's job to stop their schemes. As Nick learns more about his family's background, he becomes more and more aware of his duty to the Grimm. The Grimm brothers are fake, but the Grimm fairy tales are real - and this new discovery will affect not only Nick's fate, but also the fate of humanity!
