Hamlet (Laurence Olivier) is the prince of Denmark, whose father dies in his garden. Claudius, the king's younger brother, takes the throne and marries Hamlet's mother. His father's sudden death, coupled with his mother's remarriage, made Hamlet depressed all day long.One day Hamlet's friend Horatio told him that at midnight a ghost appeared on the tower of the castle, sad and angry. Hamlet will come to the high stage in the middle of the night, meet with his father's ghost, he learned from the ghost that his father was killed by the current king Claudius. The ghost asked Hamlet to avenge the murderer who usurped the throne and occupied the princess.
