Explore the planet's harshest environments from a whole new perspective. Divided into six episodes, the documentary takes viewers into each of the planet's deepest, highest, coldest, hottest, wettest and driest natural habitats to see how the animals there survive and thrive despite unfavorable environmental factors. The natural world is full of crises, and in the last 40 years wildlife has faced more challenges than in the last 65 million years. Animals living in these extreme environments must therefore evolve as their environments change in order to face up to watery habitats, harsh climates, ruthless predators and competition with their own kind for limited natural resources.
