Andy (Emma Roberts), a 16-year-old orphan, and his younger brother, Bruce (Jake t. Austin), are adopted by a family that doesn't allow them to keep pets. They had to leave their dog Friday to live in an abandoned hotel. The hotel is old, but it is very suitable for dogs. Andy, Bruce and friends set out to rebuild the hotel and create a series of handy robots to help the dogs become self-sufficient. Soon it became a sweet home for more and more stray dogs. Andy and Bruce as orphans also experience the warmth and value of home for the first time in their lives.
