The protagonist of the movie is Jane Goodall, a zoologist with an excellent reputation in the world. In her twenties, she traveled to the primitive forests of Africa to observe chimpanzees and spent thirty-eight years in the field there, and later traveled around the world all year round to call on people to protect the wildlife and the environment of the earth. Director Brett Morgan, who is particularly good at characterization, selected and edited from more than 100 hours of never-before-released video footage of Jane Goodall's field trips and interviews to tell the story of Jane Goodall's youthful chimpanzee research in Africa from a first-person perspective. Accompanied by a mesmerizing soundtrack by Philip Glass, the film gives viewers a sense of how a woman changed the world through passion, dedication, and perseverance at a time when field research was still dominated by men. The movie also intertwines human destiny with animals, greatly enhancing the relationship between man and nature.
