Mr X (Daniel Craig) is arguably an elite drug trafficker with a strong track record, but just when he's looking to retire early on his laurels, the deal doesn't go so easily. His big client Jimmy (Kenneth Cranham) brings him two deals: to find the missing daughter of his rival Eddie (Michael Gambon), and to help the Duke get a huge amount of ecstasy out of his hands without a hitch. The mission seems like a piece of cake, but in the process of tracking down Eddie's daughter, Mr X learns from Eddie that there is something else going on. Jimmy turns out to be an undercover agent of the police, and this operation is designed to put Mr X behind bars. While working on his second mission, Mr X overhears that Duke is feuding with the ruthless Serbs over the ecstasy. As events unfold, Mr X discovers that he has unknowingly entered a dangerous situation, and the peaceful old age he had in mind seems to have become more and more distant and difficult, as his name suggests, whether he can get out of the crisis in one piece is the biggest unknown in front of him. ......
