In the 22nd century A.D., because of overpopulation, over-exploitation, extreme environmental degradation and depletion of food. If mankind wanted to survive, it had to go out into the universe to find a new planet to live on. Therefore a state-of-the-art space ship of the time was built to examine a planet discovered that might be suitable for human survival. The Robertson (William Hurt) family is chosen to take on this mission of exploration, and they will spend the next 10 years travelling to Planet Alpha. However, there is opposition to this mission, which is the fate of all mankind, and some evil forces are trying to stop it. So, when the Robertson family piloted the spacecraft into space just before the scheduled orbit, the opposition Dr Smith secretly sabotage, causing the ship out of the normal orbit forced to land on an unknown planet. The Robertson family is baffled by the obstruction of the evil forces on the ship, the crisis on the unknown planet, and how to reset a new course. ...... Are the Robertson family really lost in space and unable to reach their destination? What will happen to the fate of mankind?
