In 2020 A.D., the World Space Station (WSS), which is home to numerous top scientists, is conducting a manned spacecraft landing program on Mars. A four-person team led by Luke Grimes (Don Cheadle) successfully arrives on the uninhabited planet, where they discover strange sights and subsequent deaths of team members. In order to investigate the cause of this tragedy and find possible survivors, the station sends a rescue team led by Woody Blake (Tim Robbins) to Mars.However, the rescue team also encountered many trials and tribulations, including damage to the ship, machine failure, fuel leaks, and deaths of members, all of which sapped the rescuers' spirit. After arriving on Mars, Blake and his team find Captain Luke, and then discover the remains and information left on Mars by aliens hundreds of millions of years ago, all of which are inextricably linked to humans...
