"The greatest show of the 21st century" was created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David and aired on NBC from 1989 to 1998 with a total of 180 episodes. "Seinfeld" is set in New York City and features Jerry Seinfeld as the comedian; his longtime friend George (Jason Alexander); his ex-girlfriend Elaine (Julia louis-dreyfus); and his next-door neighbor, Kramer (Michael Richards).The biggest difference between seinfeld and other sitcoms is that it is "A show about NOTHING," with no theme and no main line. Each set story into its own, the main plot is the daily life of the four main characters, work, heterosexual relations, and so on, in which also laid jokes. However, such a sitcom about nothing has been praised and loved by both the critics and the audience immediately after its broadcast, and has enjoyed high ratings year after year. In 2002, TV GUIDE ranked the series no. 1 in "50 Greatest Shows of All Time", while George and Kramer were ranked "TV's Greatest Characters".
