This documentary is the first in a series of documentaries made by director Michael appert in 1964. In 1964, Michael apter made a documentary for the BBC, 7 Up, in which he interviewed 14 seven-year-olds from different walks of life in Britain, some from orphanages and others from the upper classes. Every seven years since, apter has reinterviewed the children, listened to their dreams and talked about their lives. The cycle of life begins with the fourteen seven-year-old children actually living, their innocent faces filled with longing and longing for life.
