A fictional drama based on a true story, set in a Nottinghamshire mining village where screenwriter James Graham himself grew up. The story focuses on two shocking murders that shattered an already divided community and sparked one of the largest manhunts in British history. Inspector Ian St Clair of the local police force and Kevin Salisbury of the Metropolitan Police Service, both must put aside their past rivalries and work together to solve the cases. There is widespread suspicion that the deaths may have inflamed the historic divisions sparked during the miners' strike of the 1980s that broke up so many families.
