"Big year" is a competition for bird-watching enthusiasts who spend an entire year keeping track of the number of bird species they observe. Brad, stu and Kenny are three hardcore birders. Brad (Jack Black) is an ineligible older homebody, so he decides to spend a lot of money to attend "big year," his parents think he's crazy; Stu (Steve Martin) is the President of a large company, so when he decides to put aside his million dollar business and go to "big year," his assistant thinks he's crazy. This one is old one little acquaintance in competition, become a friend very quickly, decide to deal with their strongest opponent together -- last "big year" the winner is Kenny (Owen Wilson ). Only bird friends can understand, give up a whole year of career and life means what, three "bird friends" in the big year struggle to compete, eventually have to go back to face the problem in life...
