Daisy Williams sr. was dying in a hospital bed in New Orleans on the day hurricane katrina hit the city. She was surrounded by her grown daughter Caroline. Daisy asked Caroline to read to her the diary of her lifelong friend Benjamin button. Benjamin's diary records his whole extraordinary life. The most unusual aspect is his aging. He was diagnosed with several diseases of aging at birth, so he had little chance of survival. After Benjamin's birth mother died in childbirth, his biological father Thomas barton was abandoned by his biological father, Benjamin is raised by Queenie, a black woman and an elderly family caregivers. Daisy's grandmother, a resident of the family, met Benjamin for the first time. Despite years of separation, Daisy and Benjamin remained in touch, in their lives, and when they were 40 years old, they finally got together.
