Set a year after the show's finale, the story stars Christine Baranski (Diane Lockhart) and Cush Jumbo (Lucca Quinn), and Sarah Steele as Marissa Gold, who starts as Diane's assistant and finds herself interested in doing research. So it's a continuation of Kalinda and Robyn's role on the good wife. The good fight tells the story of Maia (Rose Leslie), a young lawyer whose future is ruined by a massive financial scam. It also clears the savings of her godmother and mentor, Diane, who is forced to leave Lockhart & Lee and join Lucca Quinn at a prestigious Chicago firm.
