Jonathan (Tom Hiddleston) is a former soldier on the front lines in Iraq. After his discharge from the army, he moves to an opulent hotel where he works as the night manager. One day, Jonathan meets a beautiful woman named Sophie (Aure Atika) and falls in love at first sight, but Sophie is the mistress of an arms smuggler who secretly gives Jonathan a confidential document involving Richard (Hugh Laurie), a British arms black marketeer, and then dies.Jonathan then goes to work in a hotel in Zermatt, Switzerland, where he befriends Angela (Olivia Colman), a British intelligence officer who offers Jonathan an olive branch to assist him in his investigations into arms deals and secret intelligence within the black market.
