After we close our eyes and go to sleep, we will come to a world called "dream world", that is, the "dream king" (Tom Sturridge) to build people's inner fears and fantasies of the place. But since the Dream King was accidentally taken captive and confined for a century, his disappearance has triggered a series of turmoil that will completely change the dream world and the human world. In order to restore order, the Dream King must travel between the two worlds and through time in order to correct his long-standing mistakes. Along the way, he re-examines his relationship with his former enemies and friends, and encounters cosmic gods and mortals he has never met.
