Louis wynthorpe iii (Dan Aykroyd), a successful Wall Street investor. Black Billy ray valentine (Eddie Murphy), a tramp dressed as a disabled soldier begging for food along the street. Two people who live in worlds apart have changed their lives because of a bet. Louis in Randolph Mortimer duke brothers work, has a prominent status and preferential treatment. Billy strays into a good club during a police chase and meets Louis. Louis handed him over to the police, and the duke and duchess of Mortimer, who had witnessed the whole thing, took a different view of it, betting on it.
