Willie (Billy Bob Thornton) has a very interesting job, every Christmas, he will put on a Santa Suit, wearing a white beard to promote the company's goods. However, there is more to Willie's job than meets the eye, as this time of year is the best time to make a killing with his partner Marcus (Tony Cox), who is really a thief.This year is the same, but different. Willie's spooky whereabouts are met with suspicion by a canny security guard, Kim (Bernie Mac), and a department store manager, Bob (John Ritter), who becomes a difficult figure. To add to Willy's frustration, an eight-year-old boy targeted him. Could Willy succeed in the face of heavy resistance?
