Louise, a single mother and secretary, meets and kisses a young man, David, in a bar one night, but later discovers that he is her new boss; at the same time Louise makes a new friend in town, Adele, who the heroine next learns is David's wife; Louise becomes obsessed with the couple, but gradually realises that there is something wrong with them.
