The movie is told from Juna's (Natasha Lyonne) point of view and shows the happy light of an extended family as its members pursue true love. Prospective brother-in-law Holden (Edward Norton) has been looking for an opportunity to propose to his romantic by nature cousin Skyler (Drew Barrymore), who seems to be enamored with an ex-convicted criminal named Philly (Tim Roth). The biological father, Joe Berlin (Woody Allen), comes out of his last marriage and remains single until a married woman, Sadiele (Julia Roberts), comes along, and despite Djuna's efforts to set up this marriage between her biological father and Sadiele, the real outcome is only in Joe's hands. His younger sister Laura (Natalie Portman) is secretly in love with a boy she barely interacts with. As for Djuna herself, she once boasted that she would never fall in love, but she actually falls in love with a young Venetian boy in a lightning fast manner.Love is a rare commodity, and with Christmas just around the corner, will these happy and kind-hearted people find their true love in the midst of a family reunion?
