Marty (Katherine Heigl) has no idea what to do with his life after losing his lover in an accident and carrying her child. A man named Clark (Dale Midkiff) shows up and asks Marty to marry him on the grounds of finding a mother for his child. He promises to pay Marty for his trip back to town in the spring.Fortunately, Clark was a gentleman who treated Matty with respect and never did anything wrong. But Clark's daughter is not like her father, for the appearance of the "mother", she had a strong psychological exclusion. As time goes by, Matty's gentle and cheerful attitude gradually melts the ice between her and her stepdaughter.
