At the beginning of the 21st century, a satellite belonging to the former Soviet Union suddenly malfunctioned and could have crashed on U.S. soil at any time, which made NASA officials, big and small, very nervous. NASA intended to send astronauts to outer space to repair the satellite, but could not find any technicians who knew the technology back then. As the saying goes, a few old guys who had retired surfaced. They are Frank Corwin (Clint Eastwood Clint Eastwood), Hawk Hawkins (Tommy Lee Jones Tommy Lee Jones), Jerry O'Neill (Donald Sutherland Donald Sutherland) and Tank Sullivan (James Garner James Garner). In the 1950s, they would have been among the first crew to fly into space, only to hold their breath as plans were adjusted. Now, that messed up satellite can finally make their dream of flying into space come true ......
