Walter Kowalski (Clint Eastwood), a retired Ford motor company worker who fought in the Korean War, lives alone in a low-income Asian immigrant neighborhood of a small Michigan city after the death of his wife. The neighborhood was a large Hmong family, and one of the siblings caught Walter's attention.
