In 2018, the Skynet system's war with humanity has plunged the world into a post-apocalyptic situation, and John Connor (Christian Bale), the spiritual leader of the Resistance, gains new ideas for defeating Skynet in the course of a mission he's leading, while the Skynet system duly launches a new ranking of its targets, with Connor in second place, and at the top of the list Connor's still-young father at the time, Kyle Kyle Reese, Connor's father, who is still young at the time, is at the top of the list.
