Nick (Aaron Eckhart) is the public face of one of the most lucrative and controversial industries in the world: tobacco. Not only does he have to talk like a salesman every day to persuade people to smoke, he also has to deal with anti-smoking, environmental and scientific groups, in government and in the Senate, trying to get the best deal for the tobacco industry.Nick also has two close friends -- Polly (Maria Bello), who represents the liquor industry, and Bobby (David Koechner), who represents the arms industry. The same nature of the business has made the three intimate friends, sharing tips on how to deal with protests from environmental groups and other groups, and how to navigate the administration and the Senate.They put on drama after drama in an arena where politics and business intersect.
