It tells you the story of Cold War espionage, a battle of wits between American CIA agents and Soviet KGB spies. Beginning with the events in Hungary in 1956, focusing on the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis, and ending with the dissolution of the former Soviet Union in 1991, The Company spans 40 years and a wide range of scenes. From the rain-soaked streets of Berlin to the sunny beaches of Cuba, from secret subversive activities in Budapest to high-level meetings between Moscow and Washington, the two superpowers of the day are carefully pitted against each other in a step-by-step battle on the great chessboard of the globe. Both sides tried to break the tie and gain the upper hand. However, neither of them was the final winner; on the contrary, they paid a heavy price for each other.
