The story will revolve around the true stories of 53 American soldiers engaged in a sustained battle with about 400 enemy fighters in northeastern Afghanistan. Their outpost is at the base of three steep mountains just 14 miles from the Pakistani border. Al-qaeda faces attacks from Taliban terrorists. And the soldiers stationed there are under great threat. Scott Eastwood as Sergeant Clint Rosmassa, Kaleb Landry Jones as Professional Sergeant Ty Michael Carter, and Bloom as Benjamin D. Keating were killed in Afghanistan. Production is expected to begin in August, and the film will be looking for buyers at the Cannes Film Festival.
