In 2500 A.D., the glaciers at the poles of the earth melted and the earth became an ocean. People can only survive on the water, building floating islands on the water, and dirt becomes a rarity.One day, a lone sea-walker (Kevin Costner) arrives who trades a jar of dirt for fresh water and tomato seedlings.
