Adam McKay, The director of "The Big Short" focusing on The us subprime crisis, has signed with Paramount to direct a biopic about Dick Cheney, The former us vice-president. Brad Pitt's "plan B" studio is working with mackay on "moneyball" and "the big short."Dick cheney, who bills himself as the most powerful vice President in U.S. history, is a running mate for vice President Mike Pence. During his eight years in office, Mr. Cheney was ostensibly America's no. 2, but in reality he was responsible for many of President George w. Bush's decisions, including the war in Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq.Mr Cheney himself is a controversial paradox. A longtime conservative, he served in the Nixon, ford and bush administrations before joining halliburton as CEO for a few years and then joining George w. bush in the White House. But he supports gay marriage because his daughter is a lesbian. Moreover, Mr Cheney, who has put off going to Vietnam five times, is a true war hawk."I've always found cheney to be an interesting figure, trying to figure out what drives him and what he believes in," mackay said. "So we dug deep and the results were stunning. Cheney is arguably the most powerful politician in modern American history, a man who has largely shaped America's place in the world, and who has done it in an astonishing way.Adam mackay hopes to shoot the film in the spring of 2017 and release it by the end of the year. He is now casting about for the right actor.Adam mackay's "cheney biography" meant that his previous "Bad Blood" project had to be postponed.
