The Los Angeles police surrounded Joe (Bruce Willis) and Terry (Billy Bob Thornton), who were robbing a bank and had no chance of getting out, when a flashback of their past experiences appeared: Joe, who was a fan of action, and Terry, who was a chatterbox, had an impromptu escape from prison while serving time and actually succeeded, and the two sought out Joey's cousin Harvey to rob the bank for a living.
