Anna (Nicole Kidman) and her fiancé are preparing for their wedding when a ten-year-old boy (Cameron Bright) appears, claiming to be Shawn, and Anna is dumbfounded. Ten years ago, Anna's fiancé, Shawn, died in an accident, and Anna, who has spent the last ten years recovering from the trauma, is faced with something so bizarre just as she begins a new life.
