Dean (Will Smith) is a black practicing attorney with a beautiful family life and a bright future. On Christmas Eve, Dean meets a friend he hasn't seen in a long time. From then on, Dean's life changes forever.It turns out that the friend had put a CD-ROM recording the murder of a congressman by someone in a position of power into Dean's bag!
