Jack (Adrien Brody) is a man who travels between the present and the future. He was an American soldier who served in the Gulf War. Being shot accidentally left him with no memory and an amnesiac. Worse still, he was hauled in for questioning by the police as a murder suspect. Ruled mentally ill, Jack avoids jail and is taken to a mental hospital as a sample for a scientific experiment.The doctor puts Jack in tight clothes and puts him in the morgue. It was dark and cold, and jack was left with only a few scraps of memory. The fragment contains his future appearance, a beloved woman named Jackie (Keira Knightley), and the message that he is about to die. Jack sees the future in his memory, looking for the key to life in a glimmer of hope.
