Aging actor and acting coach Sandy Kominski and longtime manager Norman Neuland are still "in the sunset." Academy Award winners Michael Douglas (Kominski) and Alan Arkin (Newland) continue their journey as friends who deal with life's inevitable problems and spend their twilight years in a city that celebrates youth and beauty. Over the course of the season, Sandy meets and befriends her daughter's new boyfriend (guest star Paul Reiser), who, embarrassingly, is within a few years of Her. Meanwhile, Norman reunites with an old flame from his youth (Guest star Jane Seymour), and after 50 years, they decide to start over. Nancy Travis and Sarah Baker also star in the film.
