Set a few months after the Dodson trial, Perry (Matthew Rhys) moves off the farm, ditches the milk truck and even trades in his leather jacket for a smart suit. It's the worst year of the Great Depression and Perry and Della (Juliet Rylance) set the firm on a more secure path, focusing on civil cases rather than the messy work that comes with criminal cases. Unfortunately, Paul (Chris Chalk) doesn't have much to work with in terms of wills and contracts, so he goes out on his own to fight the good fight. An easily solved case occurs in the city of Los Angeles, and Perry's quest for justice shows that not everything is as clear cut as it seems.
